Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium Sanitary Sewer Repairs - OPW 55011

Overview

Through periodic inspections, the City of Omaha has discovered significant sewer repairs needed on a public sanitary sewer that runs through the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium. There is a 12in vitrified clay pipe by the Cheetah house and lagoon that has two pipes with significant breaks. The sanitary sewer will be rerouted because train tracks and lagoon would be greatly compromised. The damaged 12-inch sewer will be plugged and filled with flowable fill. This project will be in two phases with the first phase to start in September 2025.
